Overcoming Objections

Overcoming Objections

As a new Black Business Builders member of NBBTA, one of the first things you need to learn is how to enroll new members and teach them the simple, duplicatible Black Business Builders Membership system. However, even though this opportunity is only $27, you invariably will encounter many objections to this type of business. While the following objections are not all-inclusive, these are the objections that are commonly heard. Included are responses that you can use to help overcome these objections.  Read them all carefully.  If you can capably address this list of objections, you have set yourself and your business up for a high probability of success!

Here are the usual objections with our answers:

1. It’s a pyramid. No it is not. There is only one level of direct pay. The first two training sales go to your Qualified Sponsor. After that, you are on your own as a "qualified sponsor". Each new person you enroll has the same responsibility to give their first two sales/enrollments to you as a "qualifier" or training sales. After that, they are "qualified" and on their own. Please do keep in mind that at all times you are in business for yourself, but not by yourself.

The pyramid is the most architecturally sound design in the world. Besides, if you have a job, you are in a pyramid already—probably near the very bottom. And as we have all experienced at one time or another, value seldom flows equally in both directions in the pyramid of a conventional job.  Besides, you aren’t in control of your position in your job while as a Black Business Builders member, you determine when you get promoted. Make two enrollments and you're there. Make three and you're in a position to make money. Continue to make sales to build your "Powerlines" and potentially make as much as you'd like with no limits.

2. I don’t have time. We understand and appreciate that you are very busy with everything going on in your job and your life. While Black Business Builders does require some work, even a small amount of time spent, consistently and persistently, can pay you huge dividends in the not too distant future and allow you to free up more time for the things you truly enjoy. Make sense?

3. What would my friends & family think? We understand that the opinions of your friends and family are important to you. However, when is the last time your friends or family paid your mortgage? That makes sense doesn't it?

4. There has to be a catch. Well, as a matter of fact there is. You have an opportunity to own your own membership marketing business for only $27 a month, you will be paid for your referrals, and your websites and hosting will be done for free, which puts you into a 100% profit business from day one. The only catch is that, if you want to create a substantial income with your Black Business Builders membership business, you will need to invest $27 to join yourself and some time on a consistent basis. How's that sound?

5. I have two jobs now and we’re doing OK.  Great, but do you really want to continue working two jobs?   We feel that with a small commitment of time to let us help you build your Black Business Builders membership business, we can help you replace one—or eventually both—of those incomes.  This will, in turn, give you more time to enjoy the things that you want and like to do. How about that?

6. These things don’t work.  Yes, this one does!— Even if you sign up and do nothing. However, just a small investment of time and effort on your part can create an income that can eventually allow you to be financially independent. Remember, you got into this business for only $27 and the potential for financial independence is not a bad return on your investment! Wouldn't you agree?

7. I can’t do this until I understand how everything works. No one that is successful in Black Business Builders today understands every detail about how networking works—just as no one in a new job can run the whole company.  Complete mastery of viral marketing is not important in determining your success. Pick one or two benefits you are interested in and market those.  Remember, when you join Black Business Builders, you are joining a team that works together to help everyone succeed.  Your success in Black Business Builders depends entirely on your reasons for doing this business, in other words, your “Why”. Have you thought about "why" you need a way to make more money?

8. I don’t know anyone who would want to do this. How many Black business owners and entrepreneurs do you run across during your week at work, social events and even at church? Someone is always approaching you with a business opportunity of some kind. How many Black business people do you know that need additional resources or customers? How many of those people today are currently being paid for networking with each other? And how many of those people might like to own their own Black business and Consumer Network and get paid to do the things they are already doing? And for only a $27 monthly subscription?

9. I don’t want to take advantage of my friends and family. Good. Black Business Builders would never ask you to. It stands to reason that if we showed our friends and family how to own their own business, save money on their taxes (that's right, as a business owner, you get substantial tax savings and reductions ... $5,000 or more on your regular income), and get paid for doing so, then we would truly be HELPING them!  If they aren’t interested in being helped, that’s OK.  Talk to the next person! Doesn't that make the most sense?

10. I don’t have a computer or an e-mail address. We can get you an e-mail address for free.  And you can use computers for Internet access at your local library, which a number of Black Business Builders members do today. So what do you think now?

11. Marketing services worldwide means nothing to me, I don’t know anyone overseas.  Maybe you don’t, but someone in your organization may sponsor someone from a foreign country, and you will then have an international business—without having to leave the country or learn a foreign language. How much easier can it get?

12. I’m not good at sales. It doesn’t matter, no one is asking you to sell anything. All you need to do is to be able to talk to people and let them know what you are doing, and ask them to become a part of it.  The worse that will happen is that they will save money on services they already use! Isn't that a good enough reason by itself?

13. I’m just afraid this won’t work for me.  If you have the desire and are coachable, this can work very well for you. Rely on your upline to help you get started properly, and simply do what they do.  Black Business Builders is all about helping people! I'm sure you can see the value in that?

14. I’ve had the same job for 20 years. Good, you obviously exhibit the desirable qualities of persistence and consistency. Has your job allowed you to become financially independent? If it hasn’t, then maybe we should get busy helping you build your Black Business Builders network so you can become financially independent. How's that sound?

15. I’m not going to spend a lot of money on service that I don’t need or want.  We will never ask you to do that. Are you OK with that?

16. This is too new; it’s not a proven business yet.  NBBTA, Inc. began in 1993.  Networking businesses have been in existence for many years, and networking is currently the 5th fastest growing industry in the world. Associations are one the largest service industries in the U.S.. Combining the two into a profitable business opportunity seems like good business to us. How's that sound?

17. The hey-day of the Internet is over.  The “dot coms” that “bombed” did so because of poor business practices.  NBBTA’s revenues and membership base continue to grow steadily.  Besides that, millions of new people continue to get on the internet every year, and internet sales projections continue to grow. Experts predict that within this decade over half of all money spent will be through the Internet.  With only a few thousands Black Business Builders members worldwide, that seems like tremendous potential to us! Let me share NBBTA's ..."The Rules" with you. So what do you think now?

Conclusion

An axiom in the business world is:  Wealth comes to those who make things happen not to those who let things happen.

NBBTA has provided you a veritable gold mine as well as the pick.  All you have to do is swing the pick.  The key is planned, consistent effort.  And in this business, that translates into sharing this with everyone you know and meet and to invite them to join with you in the most incredible e-commerce Black economic development opportunity on the face of the planet.

Remember, "YOU or THEY, CAN MAKE MONEY OR YOU CAN MAKE EXCUSES, YOU JUST CAN'T MAKE BOTH!"
