While accepting an award at the American Liver Foundation’s National Gala on Monday, the R&B hitmaker gave a shoutout to Homeland Security amid reports that he’s “stepped up his security immeasurably.”

Al B. spoke with confidence and without fear during his first public appearance in months at the American Liver Foundation’s National Legacy Gala on Oct. 7, where he was awarded for his work in health equity.

“Being a trailblazer isn’t about the fame or fortune,” the singer said as he accepted the Transplant Trailblazer Award, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

“It’s about walking a path uncertain filled with hope and conviction, knowing that the work that y’all do will make a difference to those who come after us. Health, to me, is the new wealth.”

Al B. received a liver transplant shortly after he awoke from a mysterious three-month-long coma in October 2022, resulting from several illnesses including renal failure. He was given a tracheotomy.

Notably, during his acceptance speech at the American Liver Foundation’s gala Monday night, the R&B star thanked Homeland Security for being present, the same agency that raided Diddy’s Los Angeles and Miami homes in May following sex trafficking allegations leveled against the hip-hop mogul.

“I don’t know if I’m supposed to say this because I don’t want it to go viral. We even have Homeland Security in the building. Detective Jackson, good to see you,” the singer said, according to Page Six.

A source confirmed to the publication that Sure! has “stepped up his security immeasurably” since calling for an investigation into Kim Porter’s death.

Al B. Sure! Called For An Investigation Into Kim Porter’s Death In September

In September, the R&B icon expressed profound grief over Porter’s untimely death, suggesting she was silenced before she could share her experiences of abuse, drugging, and involvement in sex and human trafficking, which he claimed were connected to ongoing scandals involving Combs. The “Nite and Day” singer stated that Porter was preparing to reveal the alleged crimes she had witnessed and the abuses she had suffered in a memoir, now published on Amazon, but many are questioning its authenticity given the circumstances surrounding Combs’ case.

He compared her potential impact to that of Cassie, who courageously brought similar issues to light in her lawsuit that was filed and quickly settled against Combs in November 2023. Al B. alleged that Porter’s revelations would have posed a significant threat to those profiting from said alleged crimes.

“Unfortunately, Kimberlina was taken from us way too soon and before she could complete her true thoughts before this FAKE Unauthorized EDIT released on AMAZON which the disappearance of her computer and vital evidence raises significantly more questions,” the star penned in his four-part Instagram post published Sept. 23.

”It is evident that her potential to expose the realities of her personal abuses, being drugged, the #SexTrafficking and #HumanTrafficking she was privy to, akin to the brave actions of Mrs. Cassie Ventura, posed a threat to those profiting from such heinous activities. In a nutshell, Kimberly was allegedly taken from us because she was set on course to accomplish what Mrs. Cassie Ventura did by [igniting] the Bon Fire which brings us here today with the avalanche that has brought Satan to their chambers.”

He added:

“The absence of Ms. Porter leaves a void, depriving her of the opportunity to address these inaccuracies personally and to share her own factual memoirs detailing the brutal terror and madness she endured. Check all who text messages of those who serve in a PR capacity as they have brilliantly and underhandedly crafted this FICTITIOUS STORY to service a personal vendetta. There’s more…. There’s so much to unpack.”

After dating Combs intermittently, Porter passed away from lobar pneumonia in 2018.

This isn’t the first time Al B. Sure! has referenced Homeland Security and Diddy’s explosive case. In March, the “Right Now” singer made a cryptic remark suggesting that Sean “Diddy” Combs might be connected to his 2022 coma.

“We’re going to be producing the Al B. Sure! life story,” the singer told audience members at the Equal Justice Now Awards in Los Angeles in April. “So hold onto your britches, and you’ll really understand how I ended up in a coma. You’re really gonna need to call Homeland Security,” he quipped.

This is a lot to unpack! What do you think of Al B. Sure!’s recent comments?
